    Ist das eine normale Installation für ein Hotel auf Malta? Kein Siphon? Das Zimmer riecht nach Abwasser.

    In den USA haben wir eine Standardinstallationsnorm. Darin werden Siphons gefordert, um zu verhindern, dass Abwassergase ins Haus gelangen. Gibt es das auch in Malta? Und wenn ja, wie hat das die Inspektion bestanden?

      I’m not sure about the law but in my flat we have bottle traps (never knew their name, looked them up hehe)

      It is a flexible trap. It should be bent in a way. That is similar to the diagram you posted.

      everything in malta is half backwards, the plumbing systems are no different, its a shame but unfortunately it is the truth, 3rd world country standards while trying to appear much differently

      It’s standard in the western world and developed and semi developed countries.

      Most probably this flexi pipe was installed by a janitors apprentice while drinking red bull and listening in AirPods rather than following instructions.

      Or some guest bent it while placing something there.

      Call the staff and ask them to fix.
