that’s what we get by investing the money of golden passports to developers and not to the people. Thank god we have empty towers for the rich

So we’re going to ignore the new building next to it lol I mean it still shouldn’t be in this state, but still.

Had a heart catheter procedure done in Mediterranean in Limassol, needless to say it needs hyper sterile environment.
These monkey-brains drilled right outside the door where patients are transported in and out, with kitchen foil as dust prevention. Standard home-grade AC for cooling the theatre. Equipment not on site but some nurse being chased around the storage area.
This is a cultural issue, a total lack of foresight and responsibility. First a strong belief that everything’s gonna be fine, and after an incident shoulders are shrugged. “What can you do”, “it’s their fault”, “what am I supposed to do about it”. Ask newly arrived surgeons (from abroad hospitals), they will all tell the same story behind closed doors.

While they’re bragging about surplus in the coffers… That’s how you get that surplus, with minimal expenditure…

It’s especially bad now with OKYPY cause the maintenance team was employed by the public sector so OKYPY was like “this department is not profitable to me, it’s just expenses” so we ended up with a hospital with no maintenance team. If anything breaks you need to fill up a form for an external contractor and even then the dudes are like “i aint coming for 1 thing, i need at least 5 things to break for it to be worth my while”.

In Cyprus, tax money goes mainly into pockets and coffers. Look at the lousy roads in Limassol for example, then consider the huge amount of road tax money they collect. A first-rate government (eg Singapore) puts far more income into public investment.

I went in there a few years ago to pick up some paperwork for my Dad, I was surprised to see cockroaches scuttling around and no-one being bothered by their presence.
