“How can a state forcibly cease a 1/5 of the territory of another state, kill 23,000 of its nationals, cause 3,900 of its nationals to go missing, ethnically cleanse the whole area, drive 1 million people from their homes, deprive them of their property, destroy their cultural heritage, loot their national resources, and then stand up and claim with the straight face that it has a reasonable expectation that no claim would be brought against it. the armenian government must compensate Azerbaijan for the minefields it has created in the Karabakh region and for the damage it has caused to its nature (rivers, forests). There should be no other claims. If there is no result from this, then damned, this is the world’s justice. Azerbaijan’s economy suffered greatly for years due to the occupation of this territory. Our elders were in a poor health state due to hunger from 1993 to 1998. I hope the authorities make the necessary decision because this is a sensitive issue.
