I agree with this, but there needs to be some tight controls around what makes this option available to you.
For example trying to book an appointment because you’re fed up with life and don’t see the point anymore should not qualify. Those folks should be given the help and support they need.
Whereas if you’ve got a terminal illness, you’re suffering and you’re still of sound mind to be able to make the decision, then that’s your choice and you should be allowed to end things on your own terms comfortably.
Obviously it goes without saying that the people who’d work this sort of role would need to be given all the support in the world to deal with the mental stress of performing this task.

This is a poll not an opinion piece, so say 2/3 of polled people agree instead of framing it as an opinion.
That aside, there’s some interesting tidbits in this. It’s funny to see zoomers voting generally less high than most millenials on agreeing with it. Obviously also the usual old generation mentality being the cause for most of the nos. The split between PL and PN is also a bit unexpected I’d say.
Interesting survery.
If euthanasia becomes legal (and I hope it does) – would life insurance be valid if you die by euthanasia? as its not a natural/accident death
Or would insurance doom the person to suffer so his relatives can get the money?
Of course, and abortion too.
