What happened to Hüseynqulu afterwards?
Looking at all the shit he has done I would say he had it coming and deserved it
Also the “man next to the khan” was his cousin
Hüseynqulu xan to Sisianov: HaHa, I got you!
Few of our Khan’s had the vision to unite all Azerbaijan. The rest, however, was losers
Their policy left them at the hands of Russia and Iran.
Such an underrated episode in our history! I wish we had debates about it, the same way, people are still debating if it was ok for Rome to wipe out Carthage (this is not a comparison of the events, but of the fact that this historical event is still being debated).
Another interesting fact.
>Having beheaded Tsitsianov, the khan and his servants took his head with them and took refuge in the city. Tsitsianov’s body was buried at the gates of the fortress. Having lost their commander, the small Russian army retreated. Hussein-Kuli sent Tsitsianov’s head to the Persian Shah. In October 1806, when Russian troops again approached Baku, Hussein-Quli fled, and his khanate was annexed to the Russian Empire.
>In 1806, Tsitsianov’s body was found and reburied in the Armenian Astvatsatsin Church, located in the center of the Baku fortress, and in 1811 it was transported to Tiflis and buried in the Zion Cathedral.
Can someone expain me more about this event or share a link. Thanks in advance.

trials and errors, I could not make these guys wear middle eastern clothes tho
I wrote an extensive [Wikipedia article](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Huseyngulu_Khan) about Huseyngulu khan. His jealous cousin – who was also Abbasgulu agha Bakikhanov’s father – was the person who led the Russian capture of Baku.
