  1. This is either the second or third video of this type released today of Russian soldiers standing still to avoid FPV’s. The first video looked like a it might have been an intentional taking of a hit but this one clearly appears to be a soldier trying not to be noticed due to no movement… this has been an increasing trend over the past few months.

Here are some recent examples from only the past 30 days, for the ppl saying this is not happening more:

Tries to stand still with two fpvs circling but tries to juke them and shoot them as soon as they get still, not SBD: [https://www.reddit.com/r/UkraineWarVideoReport/comments/1hozq9w/two_ukrainian_fpv_drones_were_competing_to_be_the/](https://www.reddit.com/r/UkraineWarVideoReport/comments/1hozq9w/two_ukrainian_fpv_drones_were_competing_to_be_the/)

NK handbook stating that if there are three soldier “one should stand still” to get the drone to “stand still” so the other two can shoot it: [https://www.reddit.com/r/UkraineWarVideoReport/comments/1hmj0gd/private_jongs_notes_part_2_of_translated_note/](https://www.reddit.com/r/UkraineWarVideoReport/comments/1hmj0gd/private_jongs_notes_part_2_of_translated_note/)

    @ 0:53 same thing: [https://www.reddit.com/r/UkraineWarVideoReport/comments/1hmxxq5/a_russian_soldier_sustained_a_severe_leg_injury/](https://www.reddit.com/r/UkraineWarVideoReport/comments/1hmxxq5/a_russian_soldier_sustained_a_severe_leg_injury/)

perfect example… stops as soon as he hears the drone: [https://www.reddit.com/r/UkraineWarVideoReport/comments/1hh2m1y/nsfw_another_instance_of_a_russian_soldier_who/](https://www.reddit.com/r/UkraineWarVideoReport/comments/1hh2m1y/nsfw_another_instance_of_a_russian_soldier_who/)

there’s plenty more but this is just from what I could find from a simple search of “standing still”…. so yes, it’s increasing….

Well if your that stupid to stand still with a drone flying around then, well, you get what coming to you.

to be honest i think its more acceptance. these guys are probably extremely tired. clearly fed up and standing alone in a field you know there is no way out. they rather go out quick instead of running around and bleeding out in pain. but who knows. thats just my take on it

  4. NoMoSnuggles on

I seem to remember the North Korean instruction manual suggests a bait person should stand still while two other guys try to shoot the drone. Could this be an example of them trying to follow instructions?

What people need to keep in mind is that video quality on a lot of drones is pretty low and realistically what will draw attention is movement. So it’s not a terrible strategy to try and conserve your energy and try to remain unnoticed. Plus, a lot of these lone guys that are targeted by drones are typically the remnants of an assault squad, whose main purpose is to try and embed themselves close to the Ukrainian lines in order to build up enough troops to form a small squad to make a push later. It’s not the greatest strategy but overtime it does lead to small gains despite the heavy casualties. That’s why a lot of these drones are targeting these guys in order to try and prevent them from building up enough guys in a small area to assault the trenches.

Looks to me like the guy was tying his boot or something, then stood up as soon as he heard the drone.

Sadly, once you hear the drone it’s probably too late.

This shit came in hot though. The other one slowly just flew into him.

Was he doing a fentanyl dip? That’s what the homeless always look like, that half lean thing.

I’ve already told my kids. When there’s drones arojnd and if there’s a war. Keep away from open fields . Avoid open areas altogether
