Since that will never happen as these are “good old boys” clubs, we’ll take a new government.

  2. Yea we’ll have direct election of the Senate and Head of State before that.

  3. PP dropped the ball in his presser yesterday. No leadership, just endless Trudeau’s. His handlers are failing him.

  4. And it needs to move away from FPTP into any of the proportional representation systems

So something with a zero percent chance of changing the status quo. Cool.

  6. Yeah I’d love a choice outside of corrupt but not crazy liberals or crazy but hopefully less corrupt conservative.

I couldn’t agree more! We go from LPC to CPC every 10 year or so and same old people kept abusing the system.

All politicians care is their salary and pensions!

  8. If we could have a true fiscally conservative party with no right wing church and state nutters in it I would be pleased.

We don’t need new parties we need a new system.

We need to take money out of politics.

I vote that we start a non-oligarch party. The 1% are the enemy, not the poor immigrant, not the addict or the handicapped on ODSP.

  11. All political parties cater to the wealthy class so having new parties won’t really make much of a difference.

  12. Was this written by a sad liberal that knows the next 10 years will be a rebuild of the broken country his party created

Both the LPC, and CPC are working against the interests of the people of Canada, and exclusively serve capital power.

The CPC are also promoting bigotry, supremacism, and fascism.

We need radical reforms in our government so that it serves the interests of the people.

  14. Canada needs to leave the monarchy and become a sovereign nation after all, it’s the 21 century. Why should a king that is a wef leader have any say over what we do

Honestly we need to do something. We act as though we’re beholden to our elected officials and it’s the other way around. We need to take back control

Wow an advertisement for a new conservative party. So glad I read that 🙄

  17. I would take the return of the Progressive Conservative Party. The CPC has almost none of the Progressive left in it.

I would (and did) vote PC. I will never cast a vote for the CPC the way it’s conducting itself.

Unfortunately, more parties would just solidify the conservative advantage even more. Center/left votes spread over 4 parties is exactly why we had a Harper government for so long, and will be a big reason why we will soon see another right wing government. The right learned this lesson long ago. Without electoral reform, our system strongly favours parties making compromises and merging to pool as many votes as possible.
