A but if snow shouldn’t really be a weather warning level.

The tinfoil hat brigade on Twitter seem to think that weather warnings are now “woke”.

Wait until they hear about the microchips in the bread..

It’s mad how many people are angry at Met Eireann for doing their job. Orange warning is appropriate for the level of snow seen in areas of Munster for sure, it’s definitely not safe for travel around us.

Why isnt there anything in Cork yet, even my buddies in south Dublin have seen some snow

Edit – the minute I typed, it’s flaking here now, very wet snow

It’s actually more of a case that people wanted snow and didn’t get it.

If it were a couple of degrees colder, it would look like that here too. Damn Met Éireann for … nefariously warming up the air in the east so the snow is rain instead?

Either way it’s weather I’m glad to not be out in.

Absolutely sickened we didn’t get that in Cork. Just pissy fucking rain.

Must be nice. Not even a snowflake here. It is cold enough that there’s tons of black ice everywhere so you can still have the winter joy of a fractured coccyx 🥲

Snowed for all of 5 minutes in our town in mayo we never get any for some reason annoys me so much

Many people live in cities, cities get no or very little snow, as they tend to be warmer than the countryside due to human activity and infrastructure.

All that’s happening is some city people forgetting that the rest of the country exists.

Likewise for coastal areas, the sea is a gigantic thermal sink. Areas by the coast experience less extreme temperature shifts because the sea regulates it.
