In the United States, the votes of territories are represented by **non-voting delegates** in the House of Representatives
Voting requires statehood. That being said good luck getting anything through congress for the next four years.
crazy how in 2025 “territory” is still an acceptable euphemism for colony. taxation without representation.
If only there were a country established on the principle that colonies should have a voice in the governance of the mother country.
Because it would mean less Republican control
Did they raise this question 4 years ago?
When I was a child the Constitution was amended so citizens of the District of Columbia (where I was born) could vote for President but not Congress. The amendment did not cover other non-States which would require further Constitutional change.
And where is the representation for the First Nations?
