    Smart way to solve multiple problems at once. they get 24/7 coverage without forcing locals to work graveyard shifts, and it’s giving jobs to Japanese people living abroad. that actually makes sense.

    Combini in Japan are already full of Indian workers anyway.

    An avatar appears and does what?
    I assume barcodes must be scanned… so a customer will have to physically do that. Wouldn’t it be better to have self checkout at that point??
    If a customer wants to send an item via Yamato or such what happens?
