      It’s awful this happened to her, but elephants should never be used for entertainment like this either.

      The animals are often kept in poor conditions, and it’s dangerous for tourists.

      It’s safer for everyone to see them in the wild at a distance.

      This is no sanctuary.

      >Koh Yao Elephant Care centre, which specialises in these animals doing a recreational activity. Washing elephants, or bathing with them, are popular activities in some such centres in Thailand, where the animals also participate in shows for tourists.

      Shit I was at the exact center with my three kids last April !

      It was an excellent experience and for once I saw people that were treating the elephant correctly.

      Very sad… and glad it did not happen to my kids or me
