    Gotta pay to play, baby

What even is an “inauguration fund”? The campaign is over, he’s not buying tv commercials anymore. What is this for new Oval Office curtains?

An important aspect of fascist economies was economic dirigism, meaning an economy where the government often subsidizes favorable companies and exerts strong directive influence over investment, as opposed to having a merely regulatory role.

We are at the buying favor part. Soon they will build camps for their first identified groups.

How are conservatives ok with this? How do they justify it? This should be illegal, and all parties should be against it

  4. The US is on a collision course for self destruct. Soon they wont be better then living in russia

All the mighty tech bros are just weak men at the end of the day who should know better.

I enjoyed the good ol’ days, when the laws and enforcement were strong enough to compel people to hide their bribes.

Kissing the ring. This is the new tech CEO prerequisite I guess: pony up to the Cheeto Mussolini for a seat at the table.

  8. They’re all lined up to buy influence. What a shit show, and a fucking embarrassment.

What’s the point of having ‘fuck you’ money if you still line up to kiss the ring?

  10. This is the test-ticket. These companies and people are bending the knee to trump and entering a contract to be with him and not against him. They are all doing it, look for the ones that haven’t and won’t get on the gratuity gravy-train tax-avoiding h1b-visa presidential-pardon mailing list.

It’s convenient when the trash signs a list itself like this. Then we know who is who.

  12. ‘Here’s a million dollars and we think you’re going to love it. Here to tell you more is Craig.’

  13. I’m curious, if you invested solely in the companies that they or their executives or owners have donated to Trump, would that make for a good stock portfolio? It seems like making Trump feel like a mafia don is a good path toward having pesky regulations fall by the wayside. Vs upsetting him and dealing with revenge tactics.

  14. This is the shit that happens when you allow money into politics. I’m more concerned about what kind of regulations come out for EVs , but not Teslas, in the near future.

Get money out of politics. This shit shouldn’t be allowed at all.

Both parties let too much money dictate the way they do things

What if the money spent on elections went to helping Americans. Seems such a waste

  16. billionaires are such cowards. they’re literally so afraid to lose a single penny.

  17. dallasdude on

I’m sure it’s a total coincidence all these tech bros donated exactly $1 million to the inauguration.

  18. toastedninja on

Huh, so like $10 as far as they are concerned?

“How much can a ~~Bannana~~ President cost anyways Michael, Ten Dollars?”

God I fucking hate this timeline.
