Do you realize than moving to 4d/w while keeping 40h, does not make much sense in term of social impact?

10h/d is already a legal limit. It would not provide any room for the employer in case of extra hours, so they may pushback such initiative.

Most of the countries applying 4-day week reduced legal time by 20%. Applying such in Luxemburg would mean switching to 32h/w (eventually with salary reduction).

Lux people barely work everyday from 12 till 14 and we want 4 days now ? 😭

So you would want to work 4 days a week from 8-9 a.m. to 7 – 9 p.m. (depending on how much lunch break you’ll take) just so that you get one workday off? And that’s supposedly in the name of work/life balance.

P.S. If you want flexibility then why not advocate for the possibility to work weekends more easily? E.g. I don’t mind working on a cold and rainy Sunday and instead getting a work day off (where I can shop groceries, etc.).
