The UK needs to rapidly divest from Musk. One of the most dangerous people who has ever lived. All official X accounts should be closed by the end of the month.

  2. The best anyone can do is to completely ignore this attention seeker. I honestly don’t know why he is given any oxygen. It’s not like he has anything meaningful to say.

There’s a way you’re supposed to play this game, and it involves a veneer of respectability and plausible deniability. Farage is probably worried Musk will start tweeting “bring back the BNP” or something.

Look I’m pretty left wing and feel genuinely threatened by Reform, but you’ve gotta give credit where it’s due.

Both sides of the isle having standards about who they will and won’t engage with is how fascism, totalitarianism, and other horrors, are avoided. Farage is way too far to the right for my comfort but the fact he rejects Robinson is good, because it means he has limits.

Ban his “X” hate site. Just block it, countrywide.
Nothing of value would be lost.

Yikes… Elon just posted that Starmer is responsible for all the Grape (take out the word G) in Britain when he was DPP. Elon just loves to spread misinformation

It’s funny that all the same sorts of people that claim we can’t do deportations to third world countries because “international laws and geopolitics is complicated ”

Will be the same ones that think the UK can use its diplomatic might to take on the world’s only super power.

    How does that work?

We apparently don’t have enough diplomatic muscle to force pakistan to take back its nationals who have commited crimes but people think we can persuade the USA to condemn a private citizens exercising their constitutional right to freedom of speech?

Labour have since day one had a huge issue with messaging and any attempt to go after Musk or X is going to back fire massively.

Whether you like Elon or not him calling out the goverment over covering up the CSE scandal isn’t going to make it go away or make people forget it. It will do the complete opposite and feed the narrative that there’s an ongoing cover up.

From a political point of view this would all go away at least briefly if Kier comes out saying

“we have seen and heard that there is a desire from the public and will launch a national enquiry”

That would make him look good, look like he cares and would send a strong message that he listens to the electorate.

Unfortunately because of how badly they seem to deal with everything I’m fully expecting them to blow this up into something even bigger.

Here’s what you need to remember about Musk: He calls democrats “radicalised leftists” when in fact, democrats in pretty much any other first world democratic country would be considered a centre right party. His political senses are skewed due to living in the USA as well as drinking the Twitter koolaid. To him, even the Lib Dems would be extreme lefties. It’s no wonder he’d support somebody like Tommy Robinson.

This does put Farage in an interesting position though, because not even he skews that far right to support Robinson. Because, as per the article, even he distances himself from Tommy Robinson. So he either has to bite the bullet for Musk’s support and go deeper into extremist territory than he already is, or wash his hands of Musk and go without that funding.

More importantly though, it once again shows us why the UK needs to take action *now* to prevent Musk’s influence on UK politics. Taking the political spectrum from the US would literally have the UK implode upon itself. I really don’t fancy being the 51st state.
