As a person who, due to circumstances, got into the imperial measurement system, I can say that it is… natural, somehow. It was quite easy to dive into it and operate.

In Ireland, it’s much more fixed. We still think in feet, stones, and inches, but everything is presented in metric, weight, road signs, etc.

Architect here. Have worked in both (USA and Aus). Imperial isn’t as bad as you would think, but metric is definitely better

I set my apps to metric. I am better with metric than imperial now. This should be the default.
Edit: except for Apple Maps. Why tf can you not specify metric?

The Netherlands uses the metric system, but still uses some of the old imperial-like terminology with (new) metric values.
So an ounce (ons) is used for 100 grams and a pound (pond) is 0,5 kg.
