    Those brazilians are in fact japanese ethnics that used to live in Brazil. The largest japanese diaspora is in Brazil (around 2 million people).

    Ahh…Gunma-ken and all those Brazilian building Subarus :). Probably same for Aichi-ken in those Toyota factories.

    On the other hand – I guess Vietnamese and Filipinos are heavily concentrated around Tokyo, thus masked out by the even larger Chinese immigrant population?

    Ironically, Japan has far more Spanish-speaking Latinos (Japanese Peruvians and Argentinians) than the Philippines that used to be former Spanish colony.
