Would make much more sense to have it coloured by pop per square km or something. The subdivisions aren’t equally sized at all.

Why’s Germany divided into federal states, but the UK divided further into regions? If you’re going to use the first sub-division, at least be consistent with it

Having dark red for really low density and black for really high density can be confusing

Bigger subdivisions and city’s have more people in them, who would have though?

Wouldn’t make more sense to divided per km2 or something.

I love when people waste an afternoon on maps that will be roasted by this sub.

If you use the first tier subdivision for each country, then it would be consistent to divide the UK into its 4 constituent parts, like the German Bundesländer.

When you compare Municipality of Mojkovac to Bavaria or Ille de France

I think we should have a massive battle royale and see who comes out on top

  9. What sort of subdivisions did you use for this map (or did this map use)? It’s a bit inconsistent – if it’s biggest subnational division, then Belgium should have the three regions. If you tried to use the NUTS divisions, then why is Germany subdivided on NUTS-1 level, Portugal on NUTS-3 and Iceland even below that?

Yes, and the colors are very confusing
