      I find it a continuous source of amusement that Bannon thinks he’s going to win this one. At his core, he’s an internet marketing guy and has never been anything more than a hired hand. Musk on the other hand, writes checks.

      I expected this sort of self-destructive division in trump’s first term but it never eventuated. It’s nice to see now though I think trump will dude with the billionaires over the average American. Hopefully it disenchants the base though.

      It seems cLear as day to me that Bannon originally left the white house in his “official” capacity so that he could do and say the things that trump can’t as part of the playbook of playing both sides.

      Bannon can keep the seedier Maga in check by echoing their concerns the loudest and maintaining that trump is still the only guy to do the gig, while trump can now side with Elon in this instance without actually losing his base.

      Feel like it was always the strategy. Bannon is always saying the quiet part out loud just to be sure that dog whistle trump blows is crystal clear

      I don’t agree with anything that Bannon espouses, nor his insane politics but I do admire how this Grifter is a genuine scrapper. He will put up a good fight he fights dirty but he’s definitely a fighter.
