They have like drone rounds for their shotguns now too if I’m not mistaken
Glory to Ukraine, Glory to Heroes
#7 1/2 shot, would be my choice for these small drones..
Duck hunting Ukrainian style.
I’m not sure why these soldiers aren’t being issued shotguns or buying their own as I know a lot of their kit is self purchased. They are the most effective simple weapon against drones.
What I really don’t understand is why they don’t have security teams with shotguns constantly guarding the few expensive SPGs/rare radars/HIMARS and other high value targets when in the field(the arty is obviously going to be miles behind the contact line.) The russians usually use their own FPVs or lancets to destroy this Ukrianian equipment. There have been videos of lancets being shot down with AKs so I’m sure it’s even easier with a shotgun.
It seems like a simple/cheap solution to protect equipment that is in extremely low supply and worth millions of dollars. These arty units have a ton of downtime. Give each unit a shotgun, do some training and have at least one soldiers duty to look out for drones and be ready with the shotgun at all times in the field. A trained shooter who’s paying attention can take down an FPV(and possibly lancets) with a shotgun usually even at a safe distance for themselves too. It’s not going to be 100% effective. Even if it’s only 10% effective, that’s millions of dollars worth of equipment Ukraine desperately still needs saved. All for the price of a shotgun worth a couple hundred bucks and a soldier on guard duty instead of playing cards. I also think it’d be much more effective than 10%. A well trained unit could probably be 50%+ effective.
Yup been calling for shotguns for a year now. Aa12 would probably be very useful both in trench clearing and against drones.
New Jersey…take note…
I should practice my trap / skeet shooting.
While I prefer classical music I do say that soundtrack is quite apropos.
[Corporal Hicks would agree…](https://64.media.tumblr.com/0fbcc908d877ad11b14034811e142242/tumblr_nves4j6gvK1roch78o1_400.gif)
