Another one bites the dust

Kurdistan out here fuckin
As a Turk, this is really strange to see. Even in the conservative region (Kurds basically) birth rates has decreased significantly. Housing is a big problem in big cities like Istanbul, Ankara, Antalya etc but I’m pretty sure economy is not the only reason for this.
We’re still a relatively young country tho (average age is 33.5) compared to most European countries so we can cope with low birth rates longer.
It isnt as bad as it seems, it isnt neccessarily permanent stats like Europe’s. Our economy has collapsed since 2016, if the economy recovers, i know a lot of my friends, who are anti-children because of the economic collapse, would be willing to make children.
Can someone explain why there’s so many more births in the east than the West side?
Would be interesting to see the countries where birth rates declined the most in % terms. Although could be tricky because the Data can be very different for countries depending on where you look, on Wiki [(here)](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_total_fertility_rate#Country_ranking_by_most_recent_year) most sources have Turkey at 1.9. It seems that the numbers on Wiki are too high for most countries in general, while data for this Map is from TR Government.
What is with this sub and fertitily rate
Everyone on Reddit told me Islamic countries have higher birth rates.
The same tale we’ve been hearing for decades: how the East supposedly has the highest fertility rates. In reality, it’s barely above replacement level at this point. Don’t assume it’s high just because it’s painted green on this map.
So good to see native people taking back their land.
Kurds are still in the lead under this specific aspect.
Us humans will be fine.
Seems to pretty much be following the same pattern as the most of the world, I’m curious as to how or even if world leaders will be able to reverse this trend in the coming years.
“Collapse” implies a catastrophe of some sorts. Birthrate decline is NOT a catastrophe. We need fewer people, not more.
Nobody has any “fucking money”. Job contract for a year. Fixed salary. Boss raises prices every two months and makes bank. Workers get jack shit. Inflation is fucked. Some shit costs more than European countries. The education system is fucked. Why would people have children?
Weird colour scheme
Its 1.44 in turkey now
Kurdistan really is going to happen in our lifetime eh?
