He just couldn’t keep his mouth shut. He just has to be in the spotlight.

  2. He thought he could find an adoring public in all Trump’s supporters and therefore went all right-wing, but got got a big reality check now it becomes clearer that their interests are not aligned.

    They don’t like him either.

  3. SpillinThaTea on

This is indicative of how the interests of trumps base and his donors/handlers are diametrically opposed yet the base voted for him anyway

The best part is Trump would have just quietly let the visa program continue and nobody would have cared. But Musk just had to get baited into a Twitter fight about it.

    *sigh*

This is false. Again. Stop trying to create things that aren’t there.

    Absolutely absurd.

  6. I’m getting popcorn ready to watch the Battle of Egos that Eclipse the Sun. Will be better than any Netflix show.

There is simply just no possible way anyone could have seen this coming.

What an ugly loser. Richest man on earth seems sadder than most average ppl

So Elon is a D-Bag, but Dems should capitalize on this rift. Gently pull him from Trump and that side. A lot of times, like trump, these egomaniacs just need to get their ego stroked a little. Make them feel like the big dog for a little and guide him towards his original left leaning philosophies.

He’s a tech bro. He’s all for the oligarchy and frat boy casual racism but maybe he doesn’t have the stomach for good old southern ignorance and self-harming spite.

    An interesting fact:

Elon’s got 205M followers on Xitter

Trump has only 95M followers — just a wee bit more than Taylor Swift (94M), but no nearly as many as Justin Bieber (110M)

Interestingly, Obama has more Xitter followers (131M) than the Don. (that’s gotta hurt)

  12. This was inevitable but I thought Trump would have taken office first.

MAGA splinter faction —> MCGA (Making Corporations Great Again). Screw America.

This is all so ridiculous. Trump and Republicans emboldened the richest man on the planet, who is an insufferable attention-seeking megalomanic, who owns a social media platform and posts hundreds of times a day and wants to bend everything to his will with money. They even gave him a prominent advisory entity. He almost shut down the government from his own volition recently, and the media is obsessed with him.

Republicans were happy to get his help for the election, but I don’t really know what their game plan is going to be going forward with Musk. It’s going to be hilarious watching them try and navigate it.

He’s trying to overshadow Trump, and if you try to do that with a cult leader, you’re going to have to deal with their rabid cult members.

  16. These dipshit rednecks that can’t read at a sixth grade level thinks they should work as senior engineers at space x!! Haha

  17. I was honestly expecting him to last 6 months before he started pissing off both other GOPs and hardcore Trump followers inside the WH. But he did not even make it to the WH… Glad I was wrong

  18. I honestly thought we’d at least make it a week or two past the inauguration before the honeymoon period would end 🤪

  19. It was always a question of when, not if. Elon and Trump are both pushing vile, racist reactionary politics, but with a big difference. Trump has sold to his peers and base genuine reactionaryism. His peers and constituents are genuinely racist. Musk is pushing reactionary politics as a scapegoat to suppress class consciousness and create a new gilded age.

The two cannot exist in tandem

The fact that Trump is so silent while this is going on lends a lot of credibility to the “President Musk” memes.

It’s not ironic that it’s been about 2 months since the election….almost 2 months.

A group of malignant narcissists with daddy issues couldn’t get along?

  23. Wow it’s hilarious how left has become so obsessed with right and it’s supposed “infighting”! You do realize in everything from businesses to families to politics there is disagreements and debates on different issues. The right is unlike left where as it’s a hive mindset and must follow ALL MSM talking points or canceled. You see most humans are capable of debating issues and either finding common ground or making concessions on said issue for support on another issue.

Reality is that the 4 Yr clock hasn’t even begun to start where Trump/MAGA agenda begins and left is already losing its mind with nonexistent issues. Not every citizen is stuck in high school developmentally and suffer from fragile egos where you get way or pick up toys and go home. We’re here for long haul and with policy changes and economic growth soon to come we will make each of your lives better as well because your Americans and “infighting” within country is just as silly as those within political parties.

Don’t expect this to result in any political gains for Democrats. Republicans are single issue voters: hurting the people they hate. Any actual business of government is a distant second. They’ll happily tolerate contradictory or counterproductive policy so long as their number one need is met.

  25. gumbobitch on

It’s wild that the only thing Musk had to do to fool people into thinking he was for the common man was to engage in a little “trans people bad” chicanery.

  26. HAMmerPower1 on

With such a wide scope of deplorable people there are going to be arguments over how to fuck over everyone else. By controlling the message the feuds have been somewhat controlled, even though it is always a shit show to outside observers. With Bannon and Musk having propaganda platforms of their own, and both being insufferable assholes, this could get interesting as the things low info Trump supporters wanted to get done don’t get done at all.

I am sorry but this seems to me like a frat boy that got blindingly drunk and picked someone up. They both just woke up in the morning and are disappointed in themselves and taking it out on each other.

As long as it is not you its funny.

  28. The sissy solar and EV guy doesn’t fit into the coal roll crowd. He was pandering for the presidency. Flatter Trump and leave a few dollars and you can buy a timeshare in Trump’s presidency too…

  29. creepy_doll on

Musk speed running being hated by everyone.

I think he wants to be loved so when the left turned against him as he started spouting off unfiltered he moved to the right. Then he kept spouting off unfiltered.

In a way I do feel bad for him but I guess he’s got a few billion reasons he’ll be ok.

But seriously, he needs to learn to stfu mind his own business and just enjoy his money without getting into all our lives

  30. Jesus there are so many people who are *so* sure of themselves in this thread.

    “MAGA will implode now!”

    “Trump will leave his base.”

I’m pretty sure not a fucking thing is going to happen, just like it never does. Most of his base will never see any of this and only the people who live online will see it, and they won’t even care either.
