Is this their way of saying that no one in Leinster House liked him either

  2. Diago would have loved this. Put all the blame on the government then for them price gouging

  3. Tosser. Why would you want to make pints more expensive, given how much they already cost?

Would be fine if he combined this with some serious work on why so many rely on drink and drugs as an outlet.

Coke is a serious issue that’s being swept under the rug and ignored.

My local put 20c on all Heineken products once they jacked up the stuff yet he doesn’t sell Heineken. A month later, Diageo put 20c on their products so this guy saw the excuse to follow suit on his pints. 40c in a month after Covid, which he freely admits was ‘kind’ to him.

I’m off the drink yet he chose to brazenly overcharge me for every split. That’s how he treats somebody who put thousands into his pocket. Utter gangster.

  6. Twas never gonna happen in an election budget. But next October expect 20c/40c on the alcohol units. From the dept of health. Who, in fairness, picks up most of the pieces from the damage alcohol does to society.

We have a crumbling health system and a children’s hospital project that is out of control.

But all I ever hear from our Health minister is MUP, remove loyatly schemes from booze, sugar tax.

Can they not do something about health care, instead of hoping to price us out of being unhealthy, because that doesn’t work.

They’ve already taxed socializing in the out of our culture. Job done. Stop flogging a dead horse. Maybe some carrot instead of stick for a change…

Nasty little man does nasty little things; now here’s Marty with the sport.

  12. I wish they’d put it on off licences rather than pubs. Drinking is bad, but socialising is good. Far better that people aren’t drinking at home.
