      Can we all just agree to stop giving people like Truss column inches and air time. The absolute cheek of the woman to even dare to try and blame anything/anyone over the sheer disaster of her premiership than herself and Kwarteng is baffling.

      The economy didn’t “stagnate”. For everything said about Starmer Labour at least we’re fucking stagnating. It completely fucking crashed. As a direct result of her disastrous reign my mortgage doubled and won’t ever recover.

      Imo she did FAR more damage to the Conservative Party’s chances of re-election than Johnson and Sunak did.

      If you fuck people over that hard in that short space a time, you deserve to get fucked back.

      The Tories and anyone in the right/centre-right would do well to distance themselves from the sheer bullshit that comes out of her mouth.

      Unpopular opinion, but her intentions and overarching objectives were pretty good. The biggest issue was that she wanted to do it in one budget and not three…

      As an American who is just old enough to recall the great Reagan recession, and now lives in Britain, let me please remind you all that “supply side economics” was tried in various permutations for about 20 years in the US to no avail.

      It doesn’t work, not in the short term, not in the medium term & certainly not in the long term.

      And Truss surely knows this. I have no idea what she thought she was doing.
