  1. > Speaking to CBS News to promote his new film Sonic The Hedgehog 3, Reeves was asked about the potential for the John Wick franchise to move forward with a fifth film. Reeves said earlier this month: “You can never say never. My knees right now are saying ‘I can’t do another John Wick‘. So my heart does but I don’t know if my knees can do it.”

The last one had some great moments but it should be left to rest.
There are only so many impressive ways of killing a person on film.

  3. I can see him returning to the role in about 10-15 years when he, as an old John Wick, passes the torch to a hero from the new generation.

    That’d be quite fitting

It’s a great franchise, but I feel like his story is told. We’re getting Ballerina soon, if they want to keep exploring this universe (which I certainly wouldn’t say no to), they should use that as a jumping off point. Let my man Keanu rest.

The knees thing really isn’t a joke. And protecting your mobility becomes more and more important as you age.

I trained in Japanese martial arts like Iaido for years and it’s constant up-and-down, [seiza](https://www.nippon.com/en/guide-to-japan/gu020002/), [shikko](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fWR1JY3emK0); though I loved the training I’d probably trade it to have more confidence that I haven’t screwed over my older years. It adds up and when it comes back on you it’s no joke.

All those tough-guys banging their arms and legs into things… it’s very dumb, but we all get caught up playing the short game sometimes. Anyway I digress, I’m just saying when I read that I was like “yeah 100% that’s a good enough reason on its own, if he’s serious”.

  7. I thought it was implied he died at the end? Also I thought his knees were saying he couldn’t in the last one 🥲

  8. Lean into the weakness. Show that even older people can be a badass. Don’t dye the hair. Make the plot make sense about it. Maybe he is older in the story, doesn’t want to retire, his hand is forced, something about honor later in the story. Shaking hand, unable to focus, even opponents not wanting to strike during these moments of frailty. Keanu Reeves is a national treasure. Thank you. Appreciate all you’ve done , in the works, and will do. 😁

And since the actor directly mentioned the knees, the production should take that concern seriously and if everybody still wants to continue, adjust the production for accessibility, less knee strain, more breaks, something. And it’s not shameful to have a body double. It’s a movie bro.

    # “My knees are saying I can’t”

Now that’s how to negotiate a new, much more lucrative deal.

Rest now, Keanu. You’ve done enough for us all and given us more than we deserved. The John Wick movies are too kino for this planet.

You can tell from Bill and Ted that those knees have had it. I doubt he was doing that on purpose in the movie. It’s the first movie I watched where I felt like he was actually showing signs of being older.

Keanu has a great voice for voice acting. He did great as Johnny Silverhand and as Shadow the Hedgehog. Hopefully he can find more roles this way since he is getting older.

I like the idea of a gun fight choreography with Keanu using a wheelchair

Knees? Just make a action movie sitting down like Steven Seagull.

4 imo was great and a perfect way to close off the franchise. I’ll gladly see more in this universe but I Don’t need to see the character of John wick again.

  16. As impressive as the 4th one was with its creativity, I simply couldn’t finish watching due to how long and over the top some of the scenes were. After the 2nd movie, there’s not really any tension.

Damn I feel stupid. I honestly thought >!he died!< in John Wick 4?

  18. GeraldByTheRiver on

Steven Seagal can beat up John Wick while sitting on a non-lumbar support office chair.

  19. My knees are saying I can’t, but I’m saying “Yeah, I’m thinking I’m back.”

Make it all CGI with the avatar technology. It would be awesome.

Well, john wick 4’s ending it’s left ambiguous as to his death. Personally i think he’s still alive and the funeral and tombstone ect were a mock just to make sure he is left alone. Of course, ballerina is coming out soon and it’ll give a bit more story on his background, but if we get a new movie set in the wick universe it should be based around someone else and JW makes a cameo. I would quite like a movie around the bounty handler and his dog, for one

He should do John Wick 5, but to up the stakes there’s an even BIGGER staircase this time
