    From the article:

Its owner, Oboronlogistika – a company affiliated with the Russian defence ministry – said on Wednesday that three explosions on the starboard side of the ship caused the sinking.

The firm described the incident as an “act of terrorism”, but did not specify who might be responsible for the apparent attack.

The 142-metre long Ursa Major was the largest ship operated by Oboronlogistika and had a cargo capacity of 1,200 tonnes. Both the ship and its owner were placed under sanctions by the US in 2022 for their ties to Russia’s military.

Russian officials have yet to comment on claims suggesting foul play in the ship’s sinking.

The Ukrainian navy spokesperson Dmytro Pletenchuk said on Tuesday that Russia faces “systemic problems” in maintaining its fleet but gave no indication that Kyiv was involved in the incident.

Ironically at the same day another underwater cable in Lake Nato, yet again, was sabotaged via act of terrorism by russia

  3. FedeAnderzen on

Only act of terrorism here is the money for maintenance stolen by the owner.

But man i wish Ukraine somehow had gotten naval drones deployed in the midteeranian

Translation, the cheap off-brand duct tape and used chewing gum holding something important on the ship together finally gave out since we can’t afford to actually fix our ship properly.

Shit ships, owned by shit people from a shit nation. Slava Ukraine, fuck ruzzia

He is saying no Russian ship is safe anywhere in the world? They should let the insurance companies know.

  7. Interesting_Okra_902 on

It’s not terrorism, it’s war and you started it. So stop whining.

  8. ZachTheCommie on

The terrorists were Russian, and their act of terror was poor maintenance.

  9. Space-Turtle88 on

Yes I agree. It’s time we stopped those russian lowlifes from poluting our western waters and held russians accountable for using decaying ships to illegally transport their sanctioned cargo.

The fact they keep committing eco terrorism by wrecking our maritime habitats/waterways and getting away with it, is sickening.

  10. the only act of terror is the invasion of ukraine by russia.. full stop

I’m not saying the US should sink any ship with a Russian flag when they can but I am saying if I were in charge of the submarine fleet it would make good torpedo practice. Not often you get to fire live rounds.

  12. Russia is an act of terrorism. Fuck them all 😠 😡 💥 💥
I hope it was loaded with important stuff before becoming a submarine.

  13. Fun fact, it’s actually called war when it’s connected with an ongoing conflict between two nations.

  14. Diligent_Emotion7382 on

So the RuZZians confess to terrorism, they let it sink to ruin local coastlines and in effect cause a Natural Disaster?

  15. AliceInCorgiland on

But they said the other day that it was engine explosion…

  16. Competitive-Doubt-51 on

All Russian cargo ships should be hunted down all over the world and sunk down. Fu#king terrorists.

  17. Should happen more!

Many more strategic ships to go!

And if it is terrorism it’s a brilliant move! And else the Ruzzians can always blame the orca’s in that territorium… they have brought more ships to sink lately!

  18. I guess he’s has to say something to cover up his his crew not doing basic maintenance

  19. Anything russia says is mostly likely a lie. They either sunk it themselves by mismanagement or sabotage to blame others. I read that they usually have tankers sink in this time a year in those waters simply because it doesn’t matter to them. They push transports to pay for putins war.

So it’s a sea drone attack rather than planted explosives. On reflection, imagine the naivety of Russia to sail strategic equipment half way round the world with zero escort and not expect it to get sunk. Especially after their antics. This attack would require extensive intelligence and facilitation by “someone” to allow Ukraine to strike.

  21. Motor-Profile4099 on

Act of terrorism? Russians probably sunk it themselves then.

  22. Darryl_444 on

Just like terrorist war criminal Russia shooting down yet another civilian airliner yesterday, while blaming birds.

  23. Apprehensive-List927 on

Had these ships been loaded with cargo and if so what was on them?

  24. Didn’t Putin just say that the Russians are bored when it is too quiet?

As a scuba diver this will be a great tourist attraction in 30 years
