      Putin must be condemned for his actions, on Christmas he’s ordering attacks on Ukraine, it’s unconscionable…

      What kind of government feels absolutely comfortable telling their people that they carried out a massive attack on civilian energy infrastructure on Christmas day?

      I hope Ukraine is being given what it needs to deliver a New Year’s message. The Russian elite should be found and their party crashed!

      People supporting Putin should be living in a war-like mentality. Make them scramble into their bunkers.

      Wonder if this attack (along with those on malls and hospitals) is meant to

      – get Ukrainians to become acceptive to a “peace deal” that favors Putin (and disfavors them)

      – get Ukrainians to resent Russia and make Ukrainian politicians favorable to attacking civilians in Russia, which would make it much easier for Putin to enlist more troops (so, playing into his hand)

      – send a message to Russia’s puppet states that if you refuse Russia’s control, they’re going to attack your cities

      In any case, rather than retaliating against Russia’s cities, it seems more optimal to keep undermining Russia’s military capacity, to push it further into becoming unable to continue the invasion.
