    1. Imagine if he assassinated Putin, and we all had to apologise to him for all the abuse we hurled at him.

    2. Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić says Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico plans to hold talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow on Monday (December 23), after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky refused to extend the transit of Russian gas through Ukraine. Vučić made the comments in an interview with Serbian TV channel Happy. TASR reports this based on a report by the TASS agency on Saturday. The news was also reported by other Serbian media. “As far as I know from unofficial sources – and even if I say unofficial, it means that the information is relatively true, Robert Fico will travel to visit Putin as the leader of a European Union country. I don’t have to tell you what reaction will this provoke from other EU leaders,” the Serbian president said in an interview with Happy TV.

      Slovakia interested in Russian gas

Fico has previously said that Zelensky’s decision not to extend the transit of Russian gas through Ukraine will plunge Slovakia into a crisis, TASS reports, adding that Slovakia, according to the prime minister, is interested in buying cheap Russian gas and ensuring its transit to other EU countries. Russian gas supplies through Ukraine are expected to stop on January 1, when the five-year contract expires, TASS reports. Ukraine has previously said it does not plan to extend the contract. Russian President Putin said at his annual press conference on Thursday that there will definitely be no new contract for Russian gas supplies through Ukraine.

Fico says Zelensky made him an offer

Robert Fico said in a video on social media on Friday that Volodymyr Zelensky had offered him 500 million euros if he agreed to Ukraine’s NATO membership. The situation was also noticed by the Politico website. The prime minister said that “after I told Zelensky that Slovakia could lose about 500 million euros a year in gas transit fees, the Ukrainian president asked me if I would vote for Ukraine’s NATO membership if he gave me the 500 million euros from Russian assets. Of course, I answered ‘never’.” The offer from the Ukrainian president was supposed to be made behind closed doors during a meeting in Brussels, where this week’s European Union summit was taking place. The Ukrainian presidential office did not comment on the situation.

Šimečka: When it comes to gas transit, we need to go to Kiev for negotiations

The chairman of the opposition party Progressive Slovakia, Michal Šimečka, called on Robert Fico to clearly comment on the information about the alleged planned meeting with Vladimir Putin, which President Aleksandar Vučić spoke about publicly in the Serbian media. According to him, Fico wants to visit Moscow the day before Christmas. “If you want to solve gas transit to Slovakia, you need to go to Kiev for negotiations. Any statesman who cares about the interests of his own country would have done it a long time ago. Only you have been afraid to go there for many months. And instead, you want to go and play a useful idiot for Putin’s propaganda, which has resulted in tens of thousands of innocent victims and a threat to security throughout Europe?” asks Šimečka. The Prime Minister did not comment on the alleged trip to Moscow today, instead posting a video from a hotel room in Brussels on social media. In the video, he shows himself doing push-ups, ironing his shirt, and cleaning his shoes.

It’s a runoff the mill, performance review interview for fico

Putin probably will give him a raise and a few more days off

    4. Somewhat expected. But why does serbian president stand in for the Colander’s spokesperson?

    5. Wonderful-Basis-1370 on

Fico has been summoned to Moscow to receive orders from Putin in person because he hasn’t lived up to Putin’s expectations lately, unlike Orban, who is doing a great job and is considered one of Putin’s favorites.

    6. He’s the PM of a minor European country trying to play ball with the big guys. Going to Moscow definitely won’t help him getting the Ukrainian gas pipeline opened.

Looks like he has a meeting with the boss, while he should be working at the circus

He’s trying to make it appear that zelensky attempted to bribe him $500 million a year for a NATO membership and that the closing of the transit deal is due to him declining a NATO vote for Ukraine, instead of Ukraine not wanting to fund russian missiles against their own people.

The bullying from russia, hungary, and slovakia will never go unpunished.

I bet you one of the conditions of the “peace deal” in january would be to force ukraine to continue a transit deal with russia

    9. So it’s now Russia and some countries of eurozone invasion into Ukraine now? That’s nice.

    10. I love how the gang sticks together and knows each others schedules. I guess you don’t want to overwhelm the Don’s calendar.

His problem is, how to keep power without any doings well for his country. Interesting that Hungary and Slovakia can come so easily brainwashed and prorussian.
