have fun getting them serviced at a t4esla dealer within any reasonable length of time.

edit- pissed off the musk simps

On one end, I can see why this is a recall. NHTSA wanted these sensors installed as a standard because they noted that under inflated tires were linked to vehicle fatalities/injuries. On the other end, I haven’t had working TPMS sensors for about 50-70k miles now. I don’t really care much for Tesla, and I kind of despise Elon, but this will be judged by Tesla haters very harshly.

Presumably there have been some many recalls on tesla cars that owners just book in heir monthly recalls upto several years in advance.

Wonder how the world ever survived before automatic pressure monitoring became a thing. Checking the pressure doesn’t take that much effort. Just lookin at your tires will tell you if they are really bad

  5. Maybe Elon can blow em all up with his seemingly endless supply of hot air

Interesting timing, I’ve had intermittent tpms system faults for the last couple of weeks. Tires are brand new and pressures are fine, but the error message persists. Car is 6 years old and I’m at 295,000 km.

  7. Yet another software patch fix that requires owners to do literally nothing and is being played like a huge issue.

  8. Buy Tesla stock. Bad news always sends it up because its price is totally divorced from business’s fundamentals.

My 3 year old Tesla has never had a physical recall. Like the previous “recalls”, this fix means “click OK on the phone app to update your car”. Why each one is a headline story on all the news sites and reddit is makes no sense.

  10. TPMS sensors have been bad since they were invented. That light is always on. Always. Multiple cars confirmed.

  11. It’s actually an issue because I experienced this with my Tesla. I had Low tire pressure in one of my tires and it exploded while driving on the highway. The sensors weren’t working, and my appointment was still a couple days away. The updates did not clear this fault so I had to bring it in for service.

  12. goshh damn it!!!!!! this is so inconvenience!! these “recall” zomg!! cry!! alarm, world war 4 /s

lol the ICE car industry is working so hard to make this an issue

Didn’t President Musk make oot so crash tests won’t be released ?

Was it Tesla Vehicles responsible for 40 out of 45 vehicle fatalities in October

  14. Is Tesla the only company with recalls? It’s the only one I ever see on Reddit.

  15. Problem fixed with software update. Low pressure warning would come on properly, but not come back on when the car was restarted.
The real issue here I think is that Tesla did not quickly roll out an update before NHTSA got involved.

  16. >Tesla said that the issue would be addressed with an over-the-air software update, a solution the company frequently uses to resolve vehicle problems.

So it’s gonna be a software update, got it.

Imagine waking up and your car just drove off because of a recall

So a day that ends in y for Tesla. Wonder what shortcut Musk demanded that caused this problem. Never understand why Tesla has so much FOMO for such a poorly built fleet.
