      Sweet, we can also cut 99% of the administration cost, definitely don’t need pesky divisional superintendents. A small group of 20 aided by AI at the state level should definitely suffice to keep the systems going.

      No Child Left Behind has given us a generation who can’t think, the next generation won’t be able to spell *strawberry*.

      For an online only school, probably not that terrible if the software is decent…but honestly, only because online schools already set the bar pretty low.

      This is probably for the best anyway. The schools in the US are just prisons for children to indoctrinate them into consumerism, life sitting at a desk waiting to be fulfilled by the authorities for being conformist and instilling the love of the almighty dollar.

      The “good teachers” were the only redeeming aspect of the institution but while there are plenty of good teachers trying to do their best despite the suffocating demands of the institution, they’re not unlike progressives in the Democratic Party in that they are there as decorations but not allowed to actually change the fundamentally hopeless and authoritarian direction of the institution. If they get too close to the belly of the beast, they are processed like sausages and replaced with the bullies that the state prefers.

      Take the teachers out and let the bare savage cruelty of the institution stand for itself so that it can make for the ripe target that it has been all along. It was the “good teachers” that were acting as hostages to prevent the public from taking out their rage in a wholesale manner. Getting them out of the way will make the levels of deep change that are required much easier.

      This ought to help with the alienation in society. Anyone who thinks this is a good idea at this stage in the technology has tap water in their veins & a bedroom window made out of bricks
