I struggle to understand: is Orbán the Prime Minister of Hungary or Putin’s spokesman?

Yeah not going to happen, his economy is begging for EU money. Putin is begging for EU money.

This is why hungary and slovakia are trying to intimidate ukraine through public statements and vetoing of EU aid to ukraine. They attempted to intimidate ukraine so that ukraine would extend the deal.

Slovakia kinda got the message that ukraine is not going to cower down to them and have shown signs of cooperation past few months. Hungary is still holding on to russian hope til the end, made obvious by orban attempting to be a “mediator” or whatever the fuck he’s doing regarding the war and again the vetoing of anything promoting saving lives in ukraine.

Well too fucking bad. Ukraine probably would have extended the deal if hungary and slovakia just supported ukraine instead of russia.
The vetoed EU aid to ukraine was responsible for a lot more ukrainian civilian deaths. Does he really think ukraine is more or less likely to do hungary and slovakia a favour after these deaths?
Like russia, orban never learned. You simply cannot intimidate ukraine.

I love how zelensky treated orban on his last statement. He pretty much said “look at this guy, he thinks he’s a hot shot but really just a pretentious fool with no real power and that no one respects”

It’s okay, we’ll manage without cancer Russia. We made the mistake of trusting them around 15 years ago.

    “Master strategist” here.

There is no way he can replace Europe, the richest continent, with any other region.

Africa is poor and corrupt, has its own resources, and as it develops, it will produce for itself. Logistics are a nightmare—costs are tremendous and simply not worth it.

South America is self-sufficient, and its logistics are also unfavorable (actually much terrible) South America is also quite poor and corrupt.

The only feasible option is Asia, but neither China nor India can replace Europe in the long term.

If the Qatar-Turkey pipeline is implemented, it will deal a mortal blow to Russia, the real reason they invaded Syria.

Occupying territories the size of Slovakia since 2022, with no realistic chance of holding them forever, is actually a terrible strategy.

Good. Europe should become independent, and we don’t need Russia or Russian tourists at all.

  7. This has already been circumvented via an agreement with Turkey which is probably why there is no panic on either side really. Turkey pretty much takes gas from anyone these days and via playing the ‘hub’ game this gets transferred again to anyone outside.

This is why they wanted to have a sphere of influence on Ukraine, to use them as a transit country for their gas market profit… 🤦‍♂️
