Does anyone remember Chrétien getting a pie in the face?

I miss those kinds of days..

  2. ReindeerIsHereToFuck on

Why would the ndp support a non covidence vote when it would mean they would lose what little power they have? The guy is already rich and could take the money he has put into it as a lump sum. I guess that doesn’t fit the narrative though.

  3. Cavalier1706 on

Remember everyone, the NDP’s platform is social services – this is called walking the walk! 😉

  4. ProprioCode on

Wouldn’t a non-confidence motion only be an option, at the earliest, late January/early February because Parliament is out until January 27th?

Is there even an option for an earlier vote?

  5. “This isn’t about my pension, but as soon as it kicks in I will vote for a non-confidence vote.” -Jagmeet Singh.

  6. Delicious-Tachyons on

Every time you mention the pension someone says jagmeet is a millionaire and doesn’t need it but I can’t help but feel suspicious

  7. So all the BS of corporate great and everything he has said means nothing go figure.

  8. adipenguingg on

My expectations for Mr.Singh were very low but *Holy fuck*. He really is just old-yellering the whole ndp. To think I voted for this guy the first time round

  9. Long_Doughnut798 on

So this clown holds the country hostage until his pension. I wish there was a work around to ruin his party like he has ruined ours.

  10. MorePower7 on

PP wants an earlier election because he’s afraid of further information that would be uncovered regarding how he is a puppet of the Indian government.

He should get his security clearance rather than being a sellout eager to hide who really owns him.

  11. Workshop-23 on

Ah yes, the New Liberal Democrats, that part of Jagmeet’s pension. Their motto? “That Maserati ain’t gonna pay for itself, suckahs!”

  12. MapleWatch on

It’s almost like the people saying he only cares about his pension were actually right the entire time.

  13. CanucksKickAzz on

Trudeau isn’t going anywhere. He’s just going to keep winning.

    Imagine.

    Imagine the real reason

    It’s easy if you try

    No great wonder

    Above us, only self interest.

    Imagine all the politicians

    Livin’ for themselves

    Ah

This article is nonsense. Parliament reconvenes on January 27. How is he supposed to topple government before then? Also, this silly conspiracy theory is being peddled by the Conservatives to pressure Singh into an unfavourable outcome. The NDP want to prop up the Liberals to influence their policies. Triggering an election would lead to a Conservative majority and the NDP losing influence. This is just bullying at the end of the day.

  16. konathegreat on

Our system needs an overhaul to prevent greedy bastards like Singh from cashing in on our misery.

    Fuck that piece of shit.

  17. CoolEdgyNameX on

There is nothing curious about the timing; the slimy scumbags are simply holding out till February so they can all collect their MP pensions. In other words they are deliberately propping up a government that is actively harming Canadian interests so they can make a bit more money. Nothing more nothing less.

That’s your “workers” party for you.

  18. If you think that’s weird imagine starting an election campaign over Christmas just to avoid the perception that you’re trying to hang on to your pension

  19. Green-Thumb-Jeff on

Peter Julian said “late February, early March”. While I watched him say it, I thought to myself, isn’t that convenient since Jag eligible for his pension February 25 2025…

  20. CinematicSunset on

Isn’t this fucking guy rich? He’s never seen without a bespoke suit and his 10k watch.

What the fuck does he care if he gets his low 6 figure pension? Jesus Christ, NDP voters are the dumbest people on Earth if they support a greedy POS like this.

  21. Oh, I didn’t realize it was that soon. I’m fine with that. I mean it’s annoying but I get it. We’d all do the same thing, I think.

  22. atticusfinch1973 on

I just wish he’d come out and admit he’s waiting until his pension is valid. It would gain him at least an inkling of credibility.

  23. IJustSwallowedABug on

I hope Trudeau is gunna be a cocksucker and have and election before Singh can get a pension

  24. What’s Pierre Poilievres pension and what’s Jagmeet Singhs pension.

Pierre Poilievre’s estimated annual pension is over $230,000 starting at age 65, with a lifetime value of about $1.75 million if he retires this year and lives to 82. If he retires at 55, the value increases to $3.4 million[1][6].

Jagmeet Singh’s pension, if he qualifies by serving six years as an MP, would provide over $66,000 annually at age 65, with a lifetime value of around $502,000 or up to $910,000 if he retires early at 55[1][2].

Is anyone else worried that nothing is in place to deal with tariffs by the time Trump takes office? An IOU note aint gunna cut it. They need to have a plan not a break ffs.

  26. Dr_TacticalCat on

Taking entire country hostage for his pension. Jail is where he belongs.

  27. coffee_is_fun on

Now would be the time for Singh to explicitly state why he is waiting on it. Without using the word Liberals or Trudeau. Specifically why his party supports waiting and what’s in it for Canada. If he bothers to do an event while he’s away from parliament, maybe his constituents can ask him.

  28. BiscottiNatural5587 on

    Not surprising at all.

Trudeau scapegoatin’, Singh delayin’ and Poliviere still refusing to get cleared ~

It has really become apparent to the depths which they’re all just kinda serving themselves before the country at this point.
