      Good thing they have a debt extension bill to pass.

      Can’t see too many objections this time around. Who else would get a 40% pay rise just from voting yes

      Despite their whining about not getting a pay raise in 7 years or something like that, Congress is not meant to be a lifetime role. A 2nd house in the DC area isn’t required. A brownstone in G-Town isn’t required. I’d be up for a compromise, though, lose the lifetime benefits which they voted for themselves, and they can have the pay raise. Implement regulations that have teeth on ethics and insider trading, which they ignore and made meaningless, and they can have a pay raise.

      Only 2.5 percent increase for seniors and disabled on SSA. Guess that’s Congress way of saying “fuck you” to people who actually worked for a living and contributed to this Country

      Absolutely not. It should be a volunteer 2 year position for people that had success in the real world and want to help make America a better place. Not a lifetime career for people that have done nothing but make speeches and tell lies their whole lives.

      1. A lower salary for Congress helps the old established members who have received bribes and insider trades for decades so that newer members can’t catch up or replace them.

      2. Linking elected government salary to public approval is like an American Idol call-in show solution. I can think of a dozen better ways to actually measure their performance that is tied to something useful such as the standard hours worked and not something that is directly connected to what billionaire owners of mainstream media decide to hide and show.

      I’m fine with it. They clearly need more money for insider trading.

      Approval ratings don’t mean shit. I’m 100% convinced there is fuckery about when it comes to these clowns getting reelected term after term. If nobody likes them, and their approval rating is so low, how are they getting the votes to win the elections? Safe and secure my ass. No fucking way you or I won an election with 13% support. 🤷🏾‍♂️
