Gibt es in Deutschland breitere Parkplätze für Frauen?

They are close to the entrance and mostly well lit for the safety of women. If they are wider, it’s to allow children to get in and out of the car more easily.

It’s called a Frauenparkplatz, and when you look around you will notice that they are usually closer to the guard booths, have good lighting or video coverage, or are very close to the exit. That’s because it was generally recognized that women are at danger of assault in darkish, remote parking areas and thus are more secure and less likely to be attacked when the space is well eluminated and constantly under guard. They are also a little wider because the chances that a woman has children with them that they have to open the doors a little wider for to handle car seats or baby carriers are generally bigger.

We also have parent/child parking lots by now that are also wider to accomodate for baby carriers and all of that, and are generally closer to the entrance of a super market, and of course handicapped spaces.
