SS: Swedish energy minister has raised the issue of growing energy prices that have been bought due to excessive demand for natural gas. The main reason there’s an increase in demand is due to lack of sun and wind within the region; which caused the solar and wind power to be insufficient.

Since Europe has an interconnected energy system, Norway had to export a lot of natural gas to Germany to meet their demands, which resulted in rising energy costs across the continent.

Norway as a reaction threatened to cut the interconnectors with Germany. Sweden has now stated that the Hansa Power bridge project will be shelved unless Germany reforms it’s energy sector.

A government collapse, high energy prices and a Trump Presidency, this increases the prospects of AFD and BSW in the coming elections as both parties vehemently oppose sanctions against Russia.
