      The fact that we grant bail to repeat offender criminals with illegal firearms possession convictions probably isn’t helping to curb firearm offences.

      It’s pure political theater. A billion dollar boondoggle in the making and it won’t do anything to stop gun violence.

      It really isn’t working… The Liberal’s polling numbers haven’t improved one bit!

      In 2021 the parliamentary budget officer estimated the buyback would cost $756 million plus administrative costs. The Fraser institute in 2021 put that cost at $6 billion.
      Since those estimates, over 800 more firearms and components have been added to that list.
      The government doesn’t actually have any idea how many firearms the public has that would need to be bought back.
      The liberals extended the amnesty until after the election because they know they have no way to actually do this.
