Wenn Nordafrika ein Land wäre, wie hoch wäre seine Bevölkerungsdichte? Würde es zu den höchsten der Welt gehören?

  1. Egypt is already around the median of nations and territories in population density. A united North Africa would be very low on the list.

    Alright, lets break it down:

Egypt has a population of c.113 million

Algeria has a population of c.45.5 million

Morocco has a population of c.38 million

Tunisia has a population of c.12.5 million

Libya has a population of c.7 million

    So:

The whole region has a population of c.216 million

For this map to be correct, c.108 million must live in the red and gray population regions each.

Roughly 95% of the population of Egypt lives in the Nile Valley and Delta, or c.107 million (Edit: i.e. allowing for a bit of imprecision, it is to all practical intents and purposes half the population by itself).

The red area of Morocco is the cities of greater Rabat and possibly greater Casablanca (it’s unclear). The former adds c.2 million and the latter c.4 million.

So the red area appears to have c.109-113 million residents, and the grey c.103-107 million; so this map is honestly about right.

Frankly, I don’t think the Moroccan area really adds anything meaningful. You could just say that the Nile Delta Valley is roughly half the population of the whole region.

why are the southern borders of libya and algeria drawn with oblique lines like nevadas instead of a straight line along the latitude like the one between egypt and sudan?

North Africa has a lot of people. If you take Sudan out, it’d be smaller than Brazil but with slightly larger population. So it’d be similar in that population density, and Brazil is far from one of the most dense countries (at around 25 per km2), North Africa would 27 per km2.

Hey op , please change this map
Where is the southern part of morocco .
    Thanks

Also it’s more like 15 _20 % not 50 % in the case of morocco
