This is sloppy and biased “journalism” that is full of inaccuracies. It ignores the CCB, which gives the lowest income families $620 a month per child under 6, and $522 a month per child 6-18, it claims a “beginning” of a national childcare program even though it has been saving families hundreds a month per child in daycare for a few years now, just because not everyone is getting $10 a day daycare yet does not mean it’s only started to be implemented, and no, dental care us not means tested, it’s income dependent. Means tested includes assets, and no federal benefit programs are means tested. 

As far as the Liberals not doing anything about skyrocketing rents, soneone needs to inform this “journalist” that the federal government doesn’t have the power to implement rent control, provinces do. Provinces have constitutional jurisdiction over property law and municipalities, which is why Eby could change zoning for density in several municipalities and the federal government has to use funding for infrastructure to coax municipalities to change zoning.
