      Great body of work. Throw some live events out there to make some petty cash and enjoy your lives. Maybe bless some other artists with some studio wisdom.

      Their last album wasn’t their best work. I know they were grieving and you could feel that in their album. But it felt like they had forced themselves to put it out rather than take the time to polish it. It felt half baked. Like scribbles on a napkin rather than an edited, refined published book.

      I could see the two of them reforming into a side project band under a different name and making new music that way. Something altogether new and just for them. Think of the seemingly one hundred and one side projects all the members of Bauhaus have done over the decades. Something like that. Something to get their minds off of Fletcher’s death and something they can focus on without having his ghost hanging over them.

      After being able to afford some better sound gear as I got older, I came to appreciate just how big their sound is. My cheap car stereo did them wrong. Will keep enjoying their library for a long time.

      I think their last great album was Playing the Angel, but I really felt the emotions behind Memento Mori and it felt like a natural stopping point
