The most transparent government with the best vibes won’t tell us what the deficit is. Meaning politicians have to vote on legislation, by guessing what the impact will be in terms of the nations finances. Banana republic stuff

  2. Of course they won’t. They were already projected to be $6 billion over this already-excessive deficit, and they just promised *another* approximately $6 billion in vote-buying bullshit.

Would you just look at that fiscal restraint that the Liberals have.

    Simply astounding.

Poor transparency, poor data-based decision making, and poor accountability.

While I agree with many of the LPCs policies and positions, I simply can’t see myself giving this government another chance. It’s clear that they only care about getting anything done during the run up to an election.

This news is a month old. Also in a way it’s not news because the Liberals have never hit a fiscal target I believe

I do not know why this is news. He clearly said that the budget will balance itself. It doesn’t but he believes it and it didn’t happen.

The budget will balance by itself Banana Republic ahh government

Relax guys, the budget just needs a bit more time to balence itself.

Spoiler alert: Trudeau and the LPC will once again blow past any red lines drawn and spend as much as they bloody well feel like.

    Deal with it.

  10. These shysters couldn’t stick to a budget if you applied don’t tape to them ! 🙄

  11. ‘Liberal fiscal plan would see “a modest short term deficit” of less than $10B for each of the first 3 years and then a balanced budget by the 2019-2020 fiscal year.’ Aug 2015

“He’ll run, he says, a modest deficit, a tiny deficit, so small you can hardly see the deficit and only for three years, so three modest, little deficits, and maybe $10 billion each, a modest, $10 billion deficit to start with” – Stephen Harper, 2015

  12. Is the GST holiday this budget or the next? If it’s this budget, that would have been money they’re no longer collecting, so yeah, that ones fucked. If it’s the next one, well then that one will be a significant miss. The most consistent thing with Trudeau is that he’s unable to make or balance a budget. I don’t recall him meeting a single one yet. Why would he start now? Yes, he campaigned on transparency and accountability, yet he’s done everything he can to do the opposite.

  13. We need massive cuts to OAS. Entire deficit could be eliminated with OAS cuts

  14. Any_Nail_637 on

People are in denial but there are going to be massive cuts in our near future. Borrowed money is just buying time. We have 50% of the population paying 97.7% of all tax in this country. If you think that is a winning strategy you are going to be really disappointed with the ending.

  15. Trudeau and the liberals are raping our country where is all the carbon tax money
