      **The assemblymen gathered voted overwhelmingly to remove martial law (190 votes in favor, 0 against), as per Article 77, Paragraph 5 of the Korean Constitution.**

      > Article 77 Paragraph 5: When the National Assembly requests the lifting of martial law with the concurrent vote of a majority of the total members of the National Assembly, the President shall comply.

      This includes a sizeable chunk of conservative assemblymen; even Yoon’s own party leader Han Dong Hoon said the martial law is wrong.

      Korean military entering inside the Parliament isn’t at all good sign. Seems like they are keen to follow President’s instructions.
      Anyway, hope for the best for Koreans. The world can’t risk another significant political uprising in Asia and that too from G20 nation.

      I’m surprised KBS covered the vote. I thought state media would be reporting nothing but propaganda given Yoon’s announcement.

      As an outsider can I ask what lead people to vote for him in the first place? I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything positive about him and he seems like he’s on the extremist end of things. Has he got the Christian vote like the Americans and Trump?

      Those missing 110 better have a good fucking excuses. Unless they were out of the country at the time, dying in a hospital, or caught/deterred by the rebel forces (these would be the cops & soldiers who went along with this coup), they should be investigated to see if they had any hands in Yoon trying to pull this shit.
