  1. From Frank Figliuzzi, former assistant director for counterintelligence at the FBI:

Patel’s particular problem goes far beyond competence: His record shows no devotion to the Constitution, but blind allegiance to Trump. Patel helped spread the fabricated conspiracy theory that the 2020 election was rigged against Trump. He has promoted the conspiracy of a “deep state” within government institutions whose aim is to topple Trump. Court findings and the jury system are things that should matter to an FBI director, yet Patel seems not to care that more than [60 court challenges](https://campaignlegal.org/results-lawsuits-regarding-2020-elections) found no evidence of fraud in the 2020 election, nor that grand juries and trial juries of American citizens determined Trump should be [criminally indicted, held civilly liable and even convicted](https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2024/11/donald-trump-legal-cases-charges/675531/).

  2. How amazing would it be if Trump’s FBI director was arrested by the FBI after the FBI investigated him, and the justice department under Bondi had to prosecute him or drop charges?

How do we think the American public and American media are going to react to the evidence these guys are about to “find” for the 2020 fraud. Is the public going to buy it? Is the media going to buy it? Think about the answers and react accordingly because it’s coming. “The Commission To Find Evidence Of Voter Fraud in The Election of 2020” is right around the corner.

    The nutshell paragraph:

    > His record shows no devotion to the Constitution, but blind allegiance to Trump. Patel helped spread the fabricated conspiracy theory that the 2020 election was rigged against Trump. He used his position to be a trump sycophant from the get go despite that not being his job at all.

Warren Buffett once said you want to invest in a company so great that any idiot can run it because sooner or later one will.. this can be said for this country as well

  7. TruthExecutionist on

This is why I think these idiots will fail at every turn with their plans. They’re too incompetent to realize that they’re dtealing with something that’s immensely larger than their pathetic lives.

  8. Sorry but this is on the FBI. If it weren’t for the shoddy investigation into the Steele Dossier combined with lying to the FISA court by an agent or two we would not be here now.

He is a malevolent figure, dishonest to the core , and not to be trusted with anything

You guys are selling Patel so hard that the right is going to think you want them to want him to be there, and they’ll start questioning if he’s a plant.

    > Yes, he lacks the professional experience needed to lead the bureau’s 37,000 employees in 55 U.S. field offices, 350 satellite offices and 63 locations abroad that cover nearly 200 countries

That’s ok, they’ll shrink down those numbers anyways.

  11. Guys I feel like it’s a pretty simple solution. Just have another guy named Patel take his place and no one in Trump’s admin will notice the difference.

He also wrote three children’s books about “Trump the King.”

At this point, incompetence is a bonus. Failing to accomplish anything is better than them getting any of their fascist agenda implemented.

  14. Violet-Journey on

You could probably use all of Trump’s national security related picks as a training manual for new FBI agents to teach them about what can disqualify a person from a security clearance.

  15. I think the FBI cannot talk about incompetence with how things were going with this last regime.

Started watching the video but stopped as soon as I saw Mar-a-Lago Joe and Mika on there.

    MSNBC needs to be better.

Should be enough old racists senators to block his nomination.

These things keep coming up, but you guys voted for this. What did you think would happen?

The author makes some well reasoned points. Except, after the article I find myself thinking: None of this is a problem for Patel. It’s a problem for *you*. And everyone else interested in a regularly functioning FBI.

That being said, glad the Hoover comparison was brought up.

  20. Go be an agent provocateur somewhere else. MSNBC loves the deep state. How many CIA and FBI agents work for this corporation.

That’s for the FBI to deal with and come out the better for it
