A logical person may say future consequences are determined by current actions.

But, I hear they love the Bible down there so maybe this means more to them:

Galatians 6:7 “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.”

    Texan here:

Good. Give all the drooling Fox junkies in this state what they wanted. Make it hurt like hell. Take what’s left of rural Texas and let nature finish wiping it off the map.

The same way his tariffs hurt soybean farmers? They’ll just force us to pay for subsidies/handouts.

  4. TruthExecutionist on

Hey they voted for this, don’t cry now you fucking pendejos.

  5. Delicious_Village112 on

The Trump admin is going to subsidize whatever industry is getting fucked by these tariffs and there won’t be complaints. Of course, they’ll still raise prices and the benefits of the bailout money won’t be passed down to regular Americans.

What’s your point. Do not know how big Arnold Palmer’s cock was ? I mean what are you even complaining about. It was big like Texas

It’s not just Texas. The auto industry will get hit hard, electronic parts used in appliances, Hershey does a lot of chocolate production in Mexico, alcohol, construction goods, produce, etc. prices will go up across the board and the economy will take a major hit. The perception of a bad economy will become reality and worst then anyone would imagine. Those who voted for the Orange turd are in for a rude awakening.

  8. It could doom the entire fucking country. So he’ll probably do it.

  9. How exactly are we going to be tough on China if our literal neighbor and largest trade partner is being punished also. I guess we just won’t do trade then! Fucking ingrates!

Oh no, so anyway… stop voting for republicans if you don’t want to get assfucked by bad policy

Edit: and I know that not all of Texas did, but clearly not enough didn’t

  11. 80% of all the beer and 200 million pounds of guacamole every year. Thats going to hurt his base! 🙂

  12. Tiny is just a saber rattling little attention whore. Deport all the migrant workers and top it off with a tariff? Horse shit for his base to wank to.

Trump straight up told everyone on TV he was raising prices on consumer goods via  tariffs 2 days before the election and “y’all” still voted for him.

The reasons are ignorance, for not knowing what a tariff actually is, and instead it’s assuming it’s a superpower Trump somehow possesses.

And also racism, Trump used the magic word “Mexico” and everyone heard what they wanted, and that being that this tariff thing is a way to somehow punish Mexicans economically

“Because of its proximity to and integration of supply chains with Mexico, Texas would see a disproportionate impact [from the tariffs], which we estimate to be about $46.9 billion in yearly gross state product (about 1.7 percent of the total) and approximately 370,000 jobs.”

    Texans, thank your Republican neighbor.

Note that Texas also has plans to build a very large immigrant detention camp on state land. So… Cry me a river for the poor people of Texas. I’ll miss eating as many avocados, but don’t drink that piss beer or tequila anyway.

that’s what they wanted, though. that’s what greg abbott has been doing all along, pushing that sentiment.

nah. keep it going. let’s do how bad it gets.

Mass deportation and high tariffs. Texas gonna feel the brunt of it all

  18. im_in_stitches on

Oh, in that case let-er-rip, Texas wants out so bad let’s give it back to Mexico, see how much they like that one for a change.

There’s a big part of me that wants him to enact these in all their glory so people can truly see how damaging they’ll be. The other part of me doesn’t want the people to suffer. I think politics are so radicalized now that perhaps a time of suffering is actually needed to cause a shift in public opinion.

Problem is republicans never learn their lesson. They’ll just find a way to blame their misfortune on democrats. It happens every single time.

    Here’s the problem with tariffs.

So, the F150 will cost $3k more in Trump’s world.

The Texan will still buy that truck, finance it over 5,6,7,8 years, go spend $12k on new wheels and rims…and as long as the price of gas is cheap, he will still drive that truck with a smile and a Trump flag flying out the back?

  22. deadpanxfitter on

As a first generation Texan who unfortunately still lives here I say, let it burn. Let it all burn.
