That ‘Front Range’ belt is definitely not a Mega-Region.

North of Santa Fe, NM to Pueblo, CO is quite sparse.

  2. I’ve always thought this map was a bit ridiculous. Kansas City, Missouri is not a Great Lakes city.

Well this is still stupid after being posted for the 100th time

Albuquerque is not big enough to have that long tail down from Colorado. It’s population is like 500k

  5. The Piedmont Atlantic really shouldn’t include Nashville or Memphis IMO. I might hear you out on Nashville but I don’t get why Chattanooga isn’t included. Memphis is a hard no.

Love this – I feel like Phoenix is, or has, merged with LA the way Vegas has. So many people from SoCal have moved to Arizona.

lol Victoria and Vancouver BC are in the United States mega regions list. Get the fuck out of here Boise! 😂

  8. Yeah I think the source of this was someone playing around with the concept of future large population centers. This millionth repost title represents it as an actual thing. The Central Valley in CA is its own thing and probably closer culturally to LA than the SF Bay Area.

Camp Pendleton is the only reason Southern California isn’t the “Angeles-Diego” area.
