Does Farage do the pretending-to-be-Christian thing these types tend to or nah?

I wonder what it’s like to live your life with such disregard for your fellow human being, instead putting your own self interest at the expense of so many people.

    I wonder if he’s happy

Forgetting Farage for a moment, it is an interesting question.

The limit for abortion used to be 28 weeks in the UK, but this was reduced as advancement in medicine and care meant babies were surviving at 24 weeks (where the current limit lies).

Societal consensus seems to be that when the fetus/baby (or whatever you want to call it) is viable and can survive outside the womb, that’s when things get a bit murky.

If further medical advancement means that babies are surviving at 21/22 weeks, then perhaps a debate isn’t all that unreasonable considering the precedent.

Here’s the bit you’re all interested in.

    >Farage was quoted in a statement from the Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), which campaigns to outlaw abortion, as saying that “the crackdown on free expression within the UK is becoming very sinister. Our [police](https://bylinetimes.com/2024/09/11/only-a-tiny-fraction-of-child-abuse-allegations-made-by-victims-are-leading-to-charges/) and Government now withhold vital public information and we get censored simply for demanding the truth. I will continue to fight this.”

    >Farage’s statement comes as he suggests that MPs should debate rolling back the 24 week abortion limit.

    >“Is 24 weeks right for abortion given that we now save babies at 22?” he told a press conference in London on Thursday.

    >“That to me would be worthy of a debate in Parliament…”

The rest of the article has nothing to do with Farage. This publication is just extrapolating an inoffensive libertarian platitude about free expression into full throated support for this organisation.

    Be better.

Nigel Farage has spotted that the Religious Right are both gullible simpletons, and very generous donors.
The perfect combination for his grift.

Hang on, you’re trying to tell me the guy who is bestest buddies with Donald Trump and has spent more time with the American extreme alt-right than he has in his own constituency… is promoting American hardcore Christian views?

    I’m shocked I tells ya! Shocked. /S

Only scary thing about this how the reform voters will likely think “great idea! Let’s get women back to the kitchen.” – and all the angry old gammons, religious nuts, and incels may lap it up.

  7. Fuck your debate right up your puckered and paid for arse Farage.

This is a medical decision, to be made by medical professionals, after some good old fashioned peer review.

Keep your bad faith bullshit and propaganda out of it.

Out of all the vile shit this human skidmark has done the only thing keeping this country in any semblance of fucking deceny is the fact that guns and abortion are not a political issue for the population. Anyone who supports this (regardless of your personal views on the subject) should know this is probably the last red line against the one your grandparents (who you are very quick to remind) fought against.

Hopefully this is his long overdue ‘yeah, ok, fuck this guy’ overstep

An American christo facist non profit group interfering in British politics This is the same group that Speaker Mike Johnson is associated with and should have no place in this country.

What. The. Fuck. I actually hope he manages to get the debate, so he can be shot down so badly, that he’ll never pipe up about anything again.
