      Reddit isn’t a social media platform. It’s an anonymous message board.

      We dont care about each other’s profiles or usernames.

      This isn’t a good thing really. Reddit is still owned by a far right winger who has wet dreams over influencing elections. 

      The alternatives exist, but people would rather stay on the bot-filled platforms than see lower numbers of updoots.

      Probably because X is going down as flaming wreckage, while everyone is moving to Bluesky.

      Unfortunately, both are bot-plagued hellholes.

      **”Reddit” is no longer a portmanteau of “Read it”, but of “Re-edited”.** (if it ever was)

      I find myself blocking a LOT of reddit subs and users lately, in a desperate attempt to make my reddit feed relevant and original. Same goes for my facebook.

      X / Twitter seems to be pretty much exclusively the domain of conspiracy theorists and generally violent or unpleasant people at this point. Not surprising that everyone else doesn’t want to be around that.
