Länder mit „Land“ im Namen!

Technically, all the stan countries have “land” in their names, too. “Stan” is Persian for “land”.

In their English names*

You are missing Solomon IsLAND and Marshall IsLANDs

England and Scotland are not countries
Or a least are not following the same definition of country than regular ones
They are juridictions of a regular country (UK)

Germany = Deutsch**land**

Fin**land** = Suomi

I feel like people are purposefully missing the joke…

“Stan” also means land, so add all the Stan countries too.

Damn I wish there was data to figure out if Greenland has land in its name.

This is how I learned of Swaziland’s name change.

Faroe Islands are not highlighted — maybe they are under the realm of Denmark, but then so is Greenland.
Maybe it’s a grey area which is why it’s coloured grey. Hmm.
