      Summer Rain is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good im going to lose my mind

      Strawberry silhouette is also incredible actually the whole mini is incredible and surpassed my expectations irene i love u so

      I’m four songs in and tbh they could have all been the title track, this is just a great start, if the quality of all the tracks is this this mini it’s gonna be a 10/10. It’s sounding so fresh and cool. Also her vocals? Hello?

      Irene’s mini is my favorite out of all the RV solos so far. They did such a good job curating songs that fit her voice.

      I really love most of the songs in this mini, winter wish and like a flower are the stand outs for now.

      I feel like I went through 4 seasons in this album ah the songs are so good !! The album is so cohesive yet every song has its own flavour and uniqueness .. I love how laid back a lot of the songs are so calming and beautiful yet it makes u feel the rythem 💕

      I’m actually a lot more impressed than I expected to be. It’s got a kind of… mature simplicity to it. Kinda like Palette, or maybe Love Poem. The songs cover at least three seasons which is neat, I’m not sure if any of them are fall-themed. It does make me wonder if there’s an overarching lyrical theme, maybe I’ll have to go through the lyrics at some point to see.

      I think I’d give it an 8/10. Really quite solid, SM definitely put some effort into this and I appreciate that.

      The production on Start Line is giving me strong Taylor Swift vibes

      Good album! That middle section of Strawberry Silhouette, Start Line, and Winter Wish was my favorite. Winter Wish in particular I love!! Such a cute song that feels perfect for this time of the year, especially with the sleigh bells toward the end!

      Honestly love this a LOT, feels a little bitersweet that cosmic didn’t manage to have tracks of this quality. My fav is Winter Wish, but none of the songs are even close to average/bad which is a feat in itself. Also, I wasn’t so into I feel Pretty from the fancams, but the actual HQ song with the lovely strings in the back is gorgeous.

      Strawberry Silhouette 100% would’ve ended up on my most played songs of the year list if YT Music had released the yearly recap even two weeks later. What a perfect tune. It reminds me so much of 2018/19 LOONA. Wedge it right in between Where You At and Stylish.

      Really solid all around, cohesive yet has a good variety to it. The little rap section in Strawberry Silhouette is fun

      I enjoyed this so much more than I thought I would??? The entire mini is dreamy pop perfection. On first listen calling me back is my fave but there’s genuinely not one skip. Of the bonus tracks, Ka ching is very red velvet and I feel pretty’s strings are gorgeous. 9/10 I can’t wait for seulgi’s next year

      **Like A Flower** – For a lot of fellow ReVeluvs this is a somewhat unexpected sound for Irene (especially since the winter solstice is only a month away now), but it’s cool that she did great with it. The music video really highlights how much of a classical jade beauty Irene is, like take in the different makeup styles/hairstyle/fashion/et cetera, how does she look good in every single one, all the time.

      **Summer Rain** – Fam, the first second I heard this song, I literally fell in love. Irene luxuriously demonstrating her vocals, so underrated, especially her vocal tone/color/et cetera. Might be one of my favorite Red Velvet songs ever, particularly with the solo releases. The instrumentals on this are great, expansive soundscape. Gonna be a mainstay on the lists for testing IEMs/headphones/et cetera.

      **Calling Me Back** – WOW, I was watching the countdown live (there were ~13 000 people on the Youtube livestream for the premiere of Like A Flower), and I knew the bass for this would hit real deep, y’all need to experience this with a dedicated subwoofer, it’ll vibrate your whole room/environment, like holy. And then her heavenly vocals on top of it, simply an absolute banger for us vocals (and bass) fans.

      **Strawberry Silhouette** – There’s a rap in the middle! Definitely got the intoxicating vibes, sweet desire. I was hoping the song would have a darker/sultrier/etc. vibe since best Irene = tsundere/ice princess/girl crush/et cetera, but this is quite nice too.

      **Start Line** – Unequivocally the pop band sound that she described in the livestream, it’s a bop. Lots of Kpop artists are doing these throwback sounds recently, it’s pretty cool to see.

      **Winter Wish** – Upbeat from the get-go, the instrumentals are relentless. As someone who prefers winter (due to the natural silence with snow/the slowing down of time/chillaxing moments/etc.) over the other seasons, I’m playing this all-year round, haha. This was also immediately one of my favorites from the start, but that’s the winter bias going. Nothing lasts forever, true!

      **Ka-Ching** – Red Velvet and Irene! This is the quintessential Red Velvet flavor, brings me back to their debut back in 2014. Such a fun song.

      **I Feel Pretty** – Ayo, the reverb/atmosphere/soundscape/etc. on this, amazing. I’m honestly still somewhat shocked that these songs finally showcased her vocals potential. Irene has been saying that she’s been training a lot for a long while now, and it certainly shows, her improvement has been amazing (legit marving for her vocals!), especially since she’s competing against Wendy (the best vocalist in Kpop at this very moment in time, a proven Toronto legend) and Seulgi (the actual ace of Kpop because of her amazing vocals/visuals/dancing skills/etc.), like sheesh, this was a phenomenal display of hard work. Bae Joohyun, marvelous!
