  1. Trump promised a wall and built a few miles of wall that was already there.

Sure, let’s have trade wars with both our neighbors at the same time.

“Read my lips. No new taxes” -Bush

Just tariffs, trade wars and inflation at the expense of the average citizen while the super rich enjoy their tax cuts. Tariffs ARE taxes on the average consumer.

Bush tried steel tariffs too and it failed. And now Donnie wants to try it again on everything. And his dipshit supporters still don’t know what’s going on.

25% more on goods is going to cost the average citizen more than some super rich asshole because an income tax cut is way worth the 25% increase on goods for the super rich. That rich asshole is paying the same price on a blanket as the rest of us except his tax cut gave him a whole lot more money that the rest of us has to make up for.

  4. “Although Trump has never filed for personal bankruptcy, hotels and casino businesses of his have declared bankruptcy six times between 1991 and 2009 due to its inability to meet required payments and to re-negotiate debt with banks, owners of stock and bonds and various small businesses (unsecured creditors).”

    I’m a bit nervous

Lumber just got more expensive which means house prices just went up too. Well done trump voters.

“On China, the president-elect accused Beijing of not taking strong enough action to stop the flow illicit drugs crossing the border into the U.S. from Mexico.”

What does he want China to do? Place troops along the Mexico-US border?

What comes from there that I need to stock up on before the next 4 years? Like what crucial every day items?

Canada will respond in kind because we would have no choice. Both economies will be impacted. No one wins. Except Trump and his gaslighting minions.

It’s probably for the best to just rip the band-aid off. Let him tank the country early instead of slowly. Maybe it’ll finally sink in to the voters. I don’t know… was pretty obvious beforehand and they still reelected him. So I’m not sure what will reach people anymore.

The man was elected on a policy of causing a recession, removing 12m workers and consumers from the US, while putting in tariffs which will cause prices to increase.

Yet when he gets elected, the stock market went wild.

    I don’t understand it.

Will the markets react equally enthusiastically to this news tomorrow morning?

Ah, gotta love a fool with no economics understanding making grand economic policy generalizations.

    Fucking idiot.

  12. Price of food is going to be nuts.

75 million stupid muther fuckers voted this guy in because the price for eggs and gas was up a buck or two.

Be prepared for the lawsuits. Tariffs break NAFTA, and once broken, the other countries will be allowed to sue.

This dipshit signed a free trade agreement with them like 6 years ago.

  15. So, does that 25% include the Canadian oil for the much vaunted Keystone XL pipeline?

  16. Alohagrown on

They will just stop buying US agricultural exports in retaliation and cost the US billions of dollars like what happened when he imposed tariffs during his first term.

This motherfucker doesn’t understand economics for shit

If my dad had left me the money his dad did, I’d be richer than fuck. Assuming I wasn’t blowing money buying schools and libraries and feeding and housing people…
