  1. I exited Twitter when Muskrat purchased. I recently joined BlueSky. Loving it so far.

  2. “Flee?” I don’t know anyone who’s afraid of the MAGA trolls. The people I know who’ve left Xitter behind them got tired of being surrounded by time-wasting shit-stirrers.

  3. I left twitter when Musk took over. I’ve been on Bluesky for a while now. It is exploding with new users daily.

Republicans are reactionaries and need someone to react against which is why they are big mad that everyone who doesn’t share their idol worship of Trump/Musk have left Twitter. I’m seeing a ton of these people try and migrate to Bluesky only to learn the hard way that the nuclear block feature means no one has to listen to them. They’re now claiming that Bluesky is an echo chamber which is the most disingenuous argument imaginable.

There is only one thing Bluesky is missing and that’s a trending tab

As much as I wish this was the the of Twitter and Elon would go bankrupt, the truth is he will never go bankrupt and Twitter is probably going to stick around for a bit.

X is like truth social lite. I wouldn’t be surprised if the two merge at some point.

“lol we’re so repellent people are abandoning the massive following they’ve built on this site to start over on another one simply to avoid having to deal with us lol get owned!”

  8. thegoodnamesrgone123 on

I mean you could post a picture of your Dog on Twitter and most of the responses will be bots and people just shouting hateful things. It’s not so much feeling as not needing to be surrounded by fucking nonsense.

I’ve stopped using twitter not because of who owns it, plenty of things I use are owned by people I despise, I stopped using twitter because it’s shit now.

It’s an unpleasant user experience now.

The “echo chamber” argument right-wingers make aside, Twitter has gotten unusable. The ads, bots, nothing but trolling everywhere. It just sucks. It’s all negativity.

You can’t say even the most mundane thing like “I like orange juice” without some asshole trying to start an argument about apple juice.

What surprises me the most is that you refer to them as liberals – the average American non trump voter is generally pretty conservative but your politics have shifted right to fascism so anyone who is not drooling or foaming at the mouth is considered a liberal.

Fleeing implies fear. Abandoning implies disgust. I think the latter applies more.

If you’re still on X formerly known as twitter after Musk bought it, you’re a lemming.

Let’s be real: it’s not fleeing so much as Bluesky is just run better right now. It’s a much more pleasant experience

They should change the headline to, “people are tired of idiots and bullshit being force fed on their time lines. Also Elon Musk is a douche canoe frat boy cuck.”

  16. I get that it’s great now but what’s to stop this new platform from being taken over by nazis like all the others?

  17. Slapmeislapyou on

And we should keep this trend going…even further. I think it’s time to admit that clicking on a Donald Trump headline, whether it’s a click for him or against him, may not be a literal casted vote for him, but in some way shape or form it is a small share of a literal casted vote for him.

Personally, I think what times are demonstrating now, is that news outlets will not platform or push a candidate readers and viewers won’t pay attention to.

Donald Trump is a news agency’s dream, left or right. And for me, I’ve made a personal effort to ignore any podcast that endorses Trump.(Dropped Rogan. Brilliant Idiots and Flagrant. Kill Tony. Theo Von, etc).

And I’ve also made it a point not to click any headline, negative or positive about Donald Trump. I know doing it myself doesn’t make a dent, but I’m done helping the news help Trump…

Bluesky really needs to get some privacy features asap though. From what I’ve seen, there’s no way to make one’s account private.

“People with the tiniest bit of common sense or decency abolish Nazi infested, lying shit show” – there fixed your headline ^^

For anyone who thinks Bluesky will peter out, Elon tried to claim that everyone on BlueSky was a pedophile recently.

He didn’t do this with any of the other ‘replacement Twitter’s.’ This implies that he’s scared of the existence of Bluesky.

  21. It will die a slow death just like Truth Social is.

    Echo chambers don’t last.

  22. College-Lumpy on

Twitter has turned into more than just a right wing echo chamber. It has become uncivil.

  23. shotsshotsshotsshots on

The problem is the trolls are following. Nothing is stopping them and that’s what they want to do. Every political post has at least one troll replying to everyone with “Trump won, cry liberal”. Then their bio says “Thanks for the engagement”. This problem will only get worse.

  24. IDrinkFromTheTap on

Ok, so X will just wind up being a right wing echo chamber, and this Bluesky will wind up being a left wing echo chamber.

They’re gonna wind up being the Fox News and CNN of social media.

  25. thrillafrommanilla_1 on

    Fuck yeah 🤙🤙🤙
Fuck Zuckerberg, fuck Musk, fuck Besos

  26. It’s not just liberals leaving, it’s anyone with any semblance of self respect left.

  27. redbirdrising on

I’m not fleeing Trolls. I’ve removed myself from a toxic platform. X is becoming Truth Social. If Bluesky becomes some left wing echo chamber, I’ll quit it too.

  28. If the content sucks, people will leave. Free market and all that. Elon should understand.

Maybe if he was committed to actual free speech on X and not just forcing his own speech onto everyone, people would like it more?
