      Security wise this doesnt seem smart, on the other hand old people dying or even simply losing their mental competence leads to all kinds if issues

      Don’t wait until the will. Teach your parents and elderly how to use password managers and make sure you have access to that one password.

      I don’t know how this works with everything being 2-factor authentication these days. It probably simplifies things. You just need my Google and Windows and Android login info and anyone should be good to go.
